Adrian Wootton OBE, Chief Executive of the British Film Commission responds to the launch of the Government’s Creative Sector Vision

Responding to the launch of the Government’s Creative Sector Vision, Adrian Wootton OBE, Chief Executive of the British Film Commission, said:

“Today’s publication of the Government’s Creative Industries Sector Vision demonstrates the UK’s ongoing commitment to our world-renowned Creative Industries. The Government’s investment into the British Film Commission over the past four years, to support the development of existing and additional studio and stage space, has been vital to the UK’s ability to attract increased inward investment film and high-end TV productions. It has also allowed for a significant, sustained growth in regional production clusters – and their crews – right across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, embedding the film and TV sector as an important part of the regional industrial landscape. We look forward to working with Government to continue to deliver the exciting vision for our sector mapped out today, playing our role in the UK’s economic growth.”
